💜 Our Commitment
ConvoAct was built from the ground up for neurodivergent individuals — people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, and other neurological differences. Accessibility isn't an afterthought or a compliance checkbox for us; it's the foundation of every design decision we make.
We believe that productivity tools should adapt to how your brain works — not the other way around.

🧠 ADHD & Neurodivergent Features
A single toggle that transforms the entire app experience for moments when the world feels too loud:
Larger touch targets: Buttons expand from 44pt to 52pt, making taps easier when coordination is low
Softer color palette: Replaces vibrant teal with calmer, muted tones
Reduced animations: Eliminates all motion for a still, calm interface
Simplified navigation: Streamlined UI paths with fewer decisions
Longer toast messages: Notifications stay on screen 5 seconds instead of 3
Softer notification tones: Less jarring alerts
Gentle Mode is accessible directly from the login screen and Settings, so you can activate it before you even sign in.
Traditional habit trackers punish missed days by resetting your streak. That's devastating for people with ADHD. ConvoAct's Streak Forgiveness system lets you:
Configure 1–3 grace days per week: Miss a day without losing your streak
Preserve motivation: Your 30-day streak doesn't vanish because you had one bad day
Customize per your needs: Adjust forgiveness level from 1 to 3 skip days
Too many notifications cause anxiety and app abandonment. ConvoAct lets you:
Set quiet hours: No non-critical notifications between your chosen times (default: 10pm–8am)
Cap notifications per hour: Limit to 1–10 notifications per hour (default: 3)
When ADHD paralysis hits and you can't start anything, ConvoAct offers a dedicated Task Paralysis intervention view that helps you break through with guided micro-steps and reduced decision load.
Pre-built ADHD Task Templates provide task structures designed around common ADHD challenges, so you spend less energy organizing and more energy doing.

AI Coaching with ADHD Understanding
Our AI coaching personalities are specifically tuned with customizable tone (supportive, direct, playful, or academic) and verbosity (brief, balanced, or detailed). All AI-generated content is clearly labeled as "AI Insight."
👁️ Vision Accessibility
Every piece of text in ConvoAct scales with your system font size setting. Our custom font system (Righteous for headings, Quicksand for body text) uses Apple's relativeTo: font scaling, ensuring text gracefully resizes from extra-small to accessibility-extra-extra-extra-large.
Toggle on the dyslexia font option and all text in the app switches to a rounded, dyslexia-optimized typeface. Individual letter shapes are more distinct, reducing the visual confusion that can make reading exhausting.
Dark Mode: Deep charcoal, easy on the eyes at night
Light High Contrast: WCAG AA 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratios, with near-black text achieving ~15:1 contrast
Dark High Contrast: Pure black backgrounds with pure white text (~21:1 contrast ratio), brighter accent colors
Switch between standard and high-contrast modes independently of your system settings.
Every color-coded element in ConvoAct has a paired shape or icon, ensuring information is never conveyed by color alone:
Task priority indicators: Triangle (critical), up arrow (high), dash (medium), down arrow (low) — in addition to color coding
Status indicators: Colored dots paired with meaningful icons
Charts and visualizations: Pattern differentiation
This meets WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.1 (Use of Color).
🖐️ Motor Accessibility
Accessible Touch Targets
All interactive elements meet Apple's 44x44pt minimum. With Gentle Mode or Larger Touch Targets enabled, minimums increase to 52x52pt — helpful for motor difficulties or tremors.
Press Feedback
Every button provides visual press feedback (subtle scale animation) with paired haptic response, giving confidence that your tap was registered.
Keyboard & Input
Tap-to-dismiss keyboard, interactive scroll dismissal, clear focus states with teal border highlights, and submit actions via keyboard return key.
Global Haptic Control
All haptics can be disabled globally from Settings > Accessibility > Interaction > Haptic Feedback.
12 Distinct Haptic Patterns

Standard

Success, warning, and error patterns for status changes
Every interactive element — buttons, toggles, sliders, cards, inputs, and navigation items — has a descriptive VoiceOver label explaining what it does and its current state. With 372 labels across 84 files, VoiceOver users can navigate the entire app with full context.
291 decorative elements (emoji, ornamental icons, divider lines, background gradients) are hidden from VoiceOver so screen reader users hear only meaningful content without clutter.
168 elements are semantically grouped using VoiceOver combining, so related information (like a task's title, priority, and due date) is read as a single meaningful unit.
127+ section headers are marked with the .isHeader trait, enabling VoiceOver's Headings rotor for quick navigation between sections on any screen.
Dynamic labels update based on state: breathing exercises announce current phase and countdown, focus sessions announce mode and status, medication reminders announce urgency level, and toggles announce their current state.
When VoiceOver is active, time-sensitive elements extend their display duration from 3 to 10 seconds, giving adequate time to process and respond. Critical elements like crisis support resources have accessibility sort priority set.
✨ Motion & Audio Accessibility
🚫
100+ reduced-motion checkpoints across 38 files
Not just on some screens — everywhere. ConvoAct respects both system-level and app-level Reduce Motion settings.
Reduced Motion
All spring, bounce, and sliding animations replaced with instant transitions. Pulsing glows become static. Staggered entrances disabled. Parallax effects eliminated.
Reduced Transparency
Frosted glass effects become solid opaque backgrounds. Navigation overlays become fully opaque. Material blur layers removed.
Sound Toggle
All in-app sounds can be independently disabled via Settings > Accessibility > Interaction > Sounds, separate from haptic feedback.
No Audio-Only Info
No critical information is conveyed through sound alone. All audio cues are paired with visual indicators.
📱 Widgets & Live Activities
Task Widget: Reads "Tasks: X of Y completed today" with individual task details
Wellness Widget: Reads current mood, streak count, and habit completion
Lock Screen Widgets: Support Always-On Display by reducing visual complexity when the screen dims
Timer countdowns: Remain visible even on dimmed Always-On displays
All four Live Activity types have comprehensive accessibility:
Focus Session: Announces mode, status, progress percentage, and linked task
Medication Reminder: Announces medication name, dosage, and time urgency
Deadline Countdown: Announces task title and urgency ("on track," "urgent," "critical," "overdue")
Wake-Up Alarm: Announces formatted wake-up time and alarm status
Each adapts for Always-On Display by hiding decorative elements while preserving essential information.
Control Center quick actions (Focus Toggle, Mood Log, Water Log) use standard system controls with built-in accessibility.
