📋 1. Introduction
Welcome to ConvoAct ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), an ADHD-friendly productivity and wellness app created by Honorius M. Neogy. By downloading, installing, or using ConvoAct, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
ConvoAct is designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals, providing productivity tools, wellness tracking, focus sessions, AI coaching, and social accountability features in a sensory-friendly environment.
👤 2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use ConvoAct. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Children's Protection
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.
🔐 3. Account Registration & Security
You may create an account using:
Email and password (minimum 8 characters)
Apple Sign In
Google Sign In
Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, or Spotify OAuth
Anonymous/guest access (limited features; can be linked to a permanent account later)
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
ConvoAct offers optional security features including:
Two-Factor Authentication (MFA): TOTP-based authentication via authenticator apps
Biometric Lock: Face ID or Touch ID for app access
Client-Side Encryption: Optional AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive data fields (task titles, descriptions, mood contexts, habit names, message content)
You are solely responsible for managing your encryption keys. If you enable client-side encryption and lose your encryption key, we cannot recover your encrypted data.
You may permanently delete your account at any time via Settings > Your Data > Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible and will remove all your data from our servers, including tasks, focus sessions, mood check-ins, habits, medications, messages, contacts, shared goals, and associated files. Local cached data will also be cleared from your device.
📥 4. Data Collection & Privacy
We collect:
Account information: Email address, username, profile photo, bio
Biometric enrollment state: Stored locally in your device's Keychain (never transmitted to our servers)
With your explicit permission, ConvoAct reads and/or writes Apple Health data for energy forecasting, burnout detection, wellness insights, weekly trend analysis, and menstrual cycle correlation with ADHD symptoms.

Health data read from HealthKit is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
On-device AI processing of health data occurs entirely on your device and never leaves your phone.
You retain ownership of all content you create within ConvoAct. When you grant camera or photo library permission, images are used for task scanning, food photo analysis, scanned note storage, and profile avatars. Images sent for AI processing are not retained beyond the processing session.
Screen time tracking: In-app time and session counts are tracked locally on your device
Error reporting: We use Sentry for crash reporting in release builds. Screenshots captured during crashes have all text and images masked for privacy.
Push notification tokens: Device tokens and notification preferences are stored to deliver notifications
Screen Time API: With authorization, ConvoAct uses Apple's FamilyControls and Screen Time API to block distracting apps during focus sessions. App blocking preferences are stored on your device.

🤖 5. AI-Powered Features
ConvoAct uses Anthropic's Claude AI, accessed through our secure server infrastructure, for:
AI task description expansion and subtask breakdown
Conversation context is sent to Claude for processing. AI API keys are stored server-side and never exposed to your device. AI-generated content is clearly labeled as "AI Insight" within the App.
On devices running iOS 26 or later, ConvoAct offers on-device AI features including smart task parsing, mood insight generation, focus session summaries, wellness briefings, and energy predictions. All on-device AI processing occurs entirely on your device — no data leaves your phone for these features.

Billing through Apple
All payments are processed through Apple's App Store via StoreKit 2. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage and cancel via your Apple ID account settings. We do not directly process or store any payment information. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies.

Task sharing: Share tasks with other users
Contacts: Connect with other users by username or email
Messaging: Real-time messaging between contacts (with optional view-once, disappearing, and message effects)
Focus Together: Group focus sessions with friends or matched partners
Random Focus Matching: Opt-in anonymous pairing with other users for focus sessions
Shared Goals: Collaborative goal tracking with other users
Leaderboards: Weekly focus leaderboards
You agree not to:
Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users
Send spam, unsolicited messages, or inappropriate content
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You retain ownership of content you create and share. By sharing content with other users (shared tasks, messages, shared goals), you grant those specific users a limited license to view and interact with that content within the App. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Features such as burnout detection, mood tracking, medication logging, menstrual cycle tracking, calorie tracking, and wellness insights are for personal informational use only.
Medication Tracking
The medication tracking feature is a reminder and logging tool only. It does not replace guidance from a healthcare provider. Always follow your prescriber's instructions.
Crisis Resources
ConvoAct provides access to crisis support resources within the App. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline immediately.
Health Data Accuracy
Health data from Apple HealthKit is provided by your device's sensors. We do not guarantee accuracy, and you should not rely solely on this data for health decisions.

ConvoAct, including its design, code, branding, graphics, and proprietary features, is the intellectual property of Honorius M. Neogy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
"ConvoAct" and the ConvoAct logo are trademarks of Honorius M. Neogy. Third-party brand names (Apple, Google, Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, Spotify) are trademarks of their respective owners.

Your data is yours
You may export your data (tasks, focus sessions, mood check-ins, and habits) as a JSON file at any time via Settings > Your Data > Export My Data. We believe in your right to own and move your data freely.
ConvoAct supports offline use. Data created while offline is stored locally on your device and automatically synced to our servers when connectivity is restored.

⚖️ 12. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ConvoAct and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Honorius M. Neogy and ConvoAct from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
📝 13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of ConvoAct after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
